1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Trustory, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any related policies referenced by them.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the Trustory platform.

2

2. Eligibility

You may use Trustory only if you are legally permitted to do so and are authorized to act in the role under which you access the platform.

Workers, institutions, and administrators must provide truthful and accurate information when using Trustory.

3

3. Accounts and Access

Access to Trustory may require authentication, including OTP login and, where enabled, approved third-party sign-in methods.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access credentials and for all actions taken through your account.

Trustory may suspend or restrict access where account misuse, fraud, unauthorized access, or policy violations are suspected.

4

4. Trustory’s Platform Role

Trustory provides a digital trust infrastructure for workforce-related verification and record integrity. Trustory does not guarantee that every user-submitted statement or institution claim is true merely because it appears on the platform.

Trustory’s role is to structure verification workflows, preserve auditability, control access, and maintain trustworthy system logic.

5

5. Worker Responsibilities

Workers using Trustory must:

• provide accurate personal and employment information
• request verification only for genuine employment history
• use the consent system responsibly
• avoid impersonation, fraud, or manipulation of trust records

Workers remain responsible for the accuracy of information they submit into verification workflows.

6

6. Institution Responsibilities

Institutions using Trustory must:

• register with truthful and current institutional details
• cooperate with verification and audit requirements
• stamp or verify records only where legitimately authorized
• avoid false, malicious, or misleading submissions

Trustory may suspend, reject, or remove institutional privileges where an institution is found to be fraudulent, abusive, or non-compliant.

7

7. Verification, Corrections, and Disputes

Trustory uses an audit-minded record system. Verified records, disputes, and rectifications may be preserved historically in order to support transparency and system trust.

Records may not always be silently deleted or overwritten where doing so would undermine the integrity of the trust registry.

Workers and institutions must use dispute processes honestly and in good faith.

9

9. Acceptable Use

You must not use Trustory to:

• impersonate another person or institution
• create fraudulent or misleading trust records
• scrape, abuse, overload, or attack the platform
• bypass authentication, access controls, or consent workflows
• use the platform for unlawful or harmful purposes

Trustory may investigate and act against suspected abuse, including suspension, evidence retention, and reporting where appropriate.

10

10. Intellectual Property

Trustory and its underlying software, interfaces, workflows, design elements, and content are protected by applicable intellectual property rights.

Use of the platform does not grant ownership of Trustory technology, branding, or proprietary systems.

11

11. Disclaimers

Trustory is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis, subject to applicable law.

While we aim to maintain reliability, security, and accuracy, Trustory does not warrant uninterrupted availability, universal correctness of third-party statements, or suitability for every use case.

12

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Trustory shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the platform.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.

13

13. Suspension and Termination

Trustory may suspend, limit, or terminate access where necessary to protect platform security, legal compliance, user trust, or system integrity.

Certain records, logs, and audit trails may remain retained after suspension or termination where necessary for integrity, compliance, or dispute handling.

14

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in platform functionality, law, operations, or trust governance requirements.

Continued use of Trustory after updates take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

15

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of Kenya, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
